I think I've upset a friend. Which upsets me. There's a very fine line, don't you think, between saying the right thing and f*cking things up beyond belief? When is saying the right thing not the right thing to do? But still, thats me. I say what I think. Right or wrong. I don't believe in lying to my friends, even if the truth isn't what they wanted to hear from me. And people that become my friends should know to expect that from me. I don't think it's a failure or a fault. Just perhaps not the best method of keeping friends. I just hope he knows that I love him and can see why I had to tell him the truth.
You'll be fine. You'll get through this. And maybe then we can be friends again. x

Snap! I have this 'problem'. Although recently I may have learnt when to keep quiet but I still think that it is better to know what is going on, rather than people pussy-footing around you.
I'd rather know the truth than have a friend telling me what they think I want to hear.
Although, Michael, when I ask you if I am fat, I would prefer it if you said 'No', rather than 'not really fat!'

But there is no real way a bloke can answer that question Nic without gettinginto trouble is there? If the missus asks am I fat or does my bum look huge in this, if I don't answer, she assumes its because shes fat? if I do answer and say no, she thinks I'm fibbing and if I say, well actually, yes, get to the gym lardy, then I don't get laid for weeks - so i'm coming fround to the idea that you women are impossible and just get you kicks by taking your hormones out on poo, defencless, well mannered and well meaning blokes... oh, and me!

Well, while watching Big Brother last night he announced that new blonde (can't remember her name) was large. When I pointed out she was about a size 10 at the most, he said 'well big boned' so I am of the assumption that unless I ever get at skinny as Claire (and lets face it, thats never going to happen!), he will always think I am not not fat. Does that make sense?

nic - erm, ok, yes cos I say so many things about folk on the tele out loud and the missus says the same to me, but its like come on, its not fair that you girks can watch stuff and have an opinion on things, Big Brother is a good example - the blokes on there witht he 6 pack and the good looks, granted they have as much personality as a nats left bollock, but when comments are passed regarding them, we blokes dont take it to heart? but then when a bloke says something about the women you girls take it as a personal insult? its not?? at least not intentionally? i think you ladies feel this need to compare yourselves to the "perfect" woman and you don't need to? fact is, there must be something we like about you or we wouldnt have got with you in the first place, granted, I can't quite rememeber what it was about the missus.... ;-)
